Salted Caramel Blondies

Ingredients

  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup butter two sticks
  • cup white sugar
  • cup firmly packed brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons water
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup caramel chips
  • ½ cup white chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350ºF.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt together. Set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, mix the butter and sugars together until combined well.
  4. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well between each addition. Add vanilla and water.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients and mix until almost combined.
  6. Fold in the caramel and white chocolate chips until they are evenly distributed. You can always add more if you like extra chocolate!
  7. Spread the cookie batter evenly in a 9x13 baking pan.
  8. Bake for 25 minutes or until the top and edges are set and golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
