  • 8 oz lion's mane mushroom
  • 2 sprigs fresh thyme
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • ¼ teaspoon salt or to taste
  • 2 lices bread optional
  • 2 eggs optional

Instructions

  1. Clean the mushroom and slice it into ½-inch thick pieces.
  2. Heat olive oil and butter in a pan over medium heat until the butter melts and starts to sizzle.
  3. Add mushroom slices to the pan in a single layer.
  4. Fry for 3 minutes on one side until golden brown.
  5. Flip mushrooms and fry for another 3 minutes on the other side until golden brown.
  6. Add thyme leaves to the pan.
  7. Sprinkle salt evenly over the mushrooms.
  8. Cook for 1 more minute, stirring gently to distribute thyme and salt.
  9. Remove from heat when mushrooms are tender and golden brown on both sides.
  10. Optional serving suggestions: on toasted bread or with a fried egg on top.
