Ingredients

Servings
  • 4 boneless chicken breasts skinless and boneless
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 .5-ounce can cream of chicken soup
  • 8 ounce cream cheese softened
  • 1 ounce dry Italian dressing mix packet
  • ½ cup chicken broth
  • ½ cup dry white wine optional; substitute with more chicken broth if desired
  • 1 pound angel hair pasta
  • fresh parsley chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the slow cooker by coating it with a light coating of cooking spray.
  2. Place chicken breasts in the prepared slow cooker and set aside.
  3. In a small saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat and cook garlic for 2-3 minutes or until fragrant.
  4. Add the cream of chicken soup, cream cheese, Italian dressing mix, chicken broth, and white wine and whisk until melted and smooth. (About 3-5 minutes)
  5. Pour the sauce evenly over the chicken in the slow cooker.
  6. Cover and cook on low for 5-6 hours or until the chicken is tender and fully cooked.
  7. About 20 minutes before serving, cook the angel hair pasta according to package instructions. Drain and toss with the butter to prevent sticking.
  8. Shred or slice the chicken, then stir the sauce in the slow cooker to combine. Serve the chicken and sauce over the cooked pasta.
  9. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat the chicken and pasta in a saucepan over medium-low heat until warm.
  • Swap more chicken broth for the dry white wine if you want to keep this recipe alcohol-free.
  • Let the chicken rest for 10-15 minutes before serving to allow the juice to redistribute and prevent it from becoming dry.
