Slow Cooker Baked Beans with Ham
Report
These slow cooker baked beans are tender, tangy, and exactly what you need at your next get-together! I used leftover ham in this crock pot baked bean recipe, making it a perfect way to use up leftovers - of course, bacon works just as well!

Ingredients
- 15.5 ounce Hurst's Slow Cooker Bacon and Beans 1 bag
- 1 sweet onion diced
- 3 cloves garlic minced
- 2 cups diced ham
- 6 cups chicken broth
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 1/4 cup barbecue sauce
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons prepared yellow mustard
- Baked sweet potatoes for serving
Instructions
- Add the beans, onion, garlic, ham, and chicken broth to a slow cooker set to high. Cover and cook for 5-6 hours, or until beans are tender.
- Turn heat to low and stir in the seasoning packet from the bag of beans, along with the ketchup, barbecue sauce, brown sugar, and mustard. Cover and continue cooking for 30 minutes.
- Serve spooned over baked sweet potatoes or regular white potatoes.
Notes
- This bean recipe will easily top 8 or more baked potatoes. Bake one for each person you're serving. To bake sweet potatoes, wash potatoes well. Heat oven to 400 degrees and bake potatoes on a cookie sheet for 50--75 minutes or until easily pierced with a knife.
