Ingredients
- 1 Small Head of Cabbage
- 1 pound (450g) bacon cooked and chopped
- 4 cloves garlic minced
- 4 tablespoons butter melted
- 1 cup (236ml) chicken broth or vegetable broth
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- salt and pepper to taste

Instructions
- Precook the bacon: In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon until crispy. Remove the bacon from the skillet and let it cool. Pour grease released from the bacon in a small bowl and set aside.Once cooled, chop the bacon into small pieces.
- Chop cabbage roughly into bite-sized pieces.
- Place the chopped cabbage, chopped cooked bacon, minced garlic, melted butter, chicken or vegetable broth, bacon grease, onion powder, salt, and pepper in a slow cooker.
- Stir the ingredients together to combine.
- Cover the slow cooker and cook on low heat for 6 hours on low heat or on high heat for 3 hours. The cabbage should become tender and the flavors will meld together.
- Once cooked, taste the cabbage and bacon mixture and adjust the seasoning with salt and pepper if needed.
