Ingredients

  • 1 package snickerdoodle cookie mix (or homemade snickerdoodle cookies)
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • ½ cup white chocolate chips
  • 2 tablespoon cinnamon-sugar (for rolling)
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Prepare Cookie Dough: If using store-bought cookie mix, follow the package instructions to make the dough. If making homemade snickerdoodles, prepare and bake the cookies. Allow them to cool completely.
  2. Crush Cookies: Once the cookies are cool, crumble them into small pieces or pulse them in a food processor until fine crumbs form.
  3. Mix with Cream Cheese: In a mixing bowl, combine the cookie crumbs and softened cream cheese. Mix until the dough comes together and is smooth.
  4. Shape Truffles: Roll the dough into 1-inch balls and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  5. Dip in Chocolate: Melt the white chocolate chips in the microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth. Dip each truffle into the melted white chocolate, coating it completely.
  6. Roll in Cinnamon-Sugar: After dipping, immediately roll each truffle in cinnamon-sugar. Allow the truffles to set on the baking sheet for about 30 minutes.
  7. Serve or Store: Once set, enjoy the truffles immediately or store them in an airtight container in the fridge.

Notes

  • Make Ahead: Snickerdoodle truffles can be made ahead and stored in an airtight container for up to 1 week in the fridge.
  • Customizing the Flavor: For a twist, add a hint of vanilla extract to the cookie dough mixture or dip the truffles in dark chocolate instead of white chocolate.
  • Serving Suggestions: Serve these truffles at holiday parties, potlucks, or as a sweet gift. Pair them with a glass of milk for a nostalgic treat.
  • Storage Tips: Store in the fridge for up to 1 week, or freeze for longer storage (up to 1 month). Thaw before serving.
