Steak Sandwich

Ingredients
- 1½ lb top sirloin steak
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp butter
- 1 head garlic
- 1 prig thyme
- 2 loaves Ciabatta bread
- salt and pepper
Onions
- 2 Red Onions
- 4 tbsp white wine vinegar
- salt and pepper
Salad
- 2 romaine lettuce
- 1 tbsp Tabasco sauce
- 1 beefsteak tomato
- salt and pepper
Sauce100 gr mayonnaise100 gr mayonnaise
- 100 gr mayonnaise
- 100 gr grain mustarde
Instructions
Steak
- Season the steak with olive oil, salt, and pepper.
- Heat a non-stick pan over high heat.
- Sear the steak on all sides for 5-6 minutes.
- Add a halved head of garlic, thyme, and butter.
- Baste the steak with butter for a few minutes.
- Remove the steak from the pan.
- Let the steak rest covered with aluminum foil for 10 minutes.In the same pan, without washing it, toast the halved ciabatta loaves for a few minutes.
Vegetables
- Wash and place the romaine lettuce in a bowl.
- Season the lettuce with oil, salt, pepper, and a teaspoon of Tabasco sauce.
- Wash and cut the tomato into half-inch-thick slices.
Onions
- Roughly julienne the red onions.In a small saucepan, add the sliced onions.
- Season the onions with salt and pepper.
- Add the vinegar and cook for 6-7 minutes with the lid closed.
- In a small bowl, mix the grainy mustard and mayonnaise.
- Slice the steak into half-inch-thick slices and begin assembly.
Assembly
- Spread the sauce on both halves of the bread.
- Place the tomato slices and then the lettuce.
- Arrange the sliced steak neatly.
- Add the onions on top.
- Enjoy your meal!
