Strawberry Baked Oatmeal

Strawberry Baked Oatmeal combines rolled oats with fresh strawberries, eggs, oil, maple syrup, and warming cinnamon to create a hearty breakfast dish. The oats soften as they bake, while the strawberries add a juicy, sweet burst. Baked until golden, this dish can be served warm with toppings like yogurt or extra syrup, making it a satisfying and wholesome start to the day.

Description

Strawberry Baked Oatmeal is prepared by mixing eggs, oil, pure maple syrup, milk, and vanilla with rolled oats, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon. Fresh strawberries are gently folded into the mixture before baking in a greased dish until the top is golden and the middle set. The texture is tender but with a slight chew from the oats, contrasting nicely with the softness of the baked strawberries. The cinnamon adds subtle warmth without overpowering the strawberries' natural sweetness.

This dish is versatile for breakfast or brunch and can be eaten immediately or cooled and cut into squares for a portable option. It pairs well with cream or yogurt and an extra drizzle of maple syrup for added richness.

Using a deep baking dish influences the baking time, so adjustments may be needed depending on dish size. The recipe accommodates substitutions like flaxseed eggs for the eggs and allows for alternative oils such as coconut or light olive oil.
