For a delicious breakfast or fruity afternoon treat, this strawberry danish is a perfect choice. With its sweet and creamy filling, flaky crust, and topped with fresh strawberries, my strawberry cheese danish is sure to satisfy your taste buds! Not to mention it is quick and easy, which is ideal for busy mornings.

Ingredients
- 1 puff pastry sheet
- 4 ounces ricotta cheese
- 3 tablespoons sugar
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- ½ teaspoon almond extract
- ⅓ cup strawberry jam
- ½ cup strawberries sliced
- ¼ cup powdered sugar optional
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400ºF.
- Slice the puff pastry crust into 6 even pieces.
- Place the sections on a sheet tray.
- Combine ricotta cheese, sugar, lemon juice, and almond extract.
- Spread the cheese mixture evenly over the puff pastry sections.
- Layer the strawberry jam over top of the cheese.
- Bake for 15 minutes or until golden brown.
- Once cooled, lay fresh strawberries on top of the jam.
- Sprinkle with powdered sugar, if desired.
