  • 1 pkg taco seasoning or 2 Tablespoons Homemade Seasoning
  • 1 cup salsa
  • 1/2 white onion finely diced
  • 12 hawaiian rolls or Slider Rolls
  • 2 cups shredded mexican style cheese

  1. Add the ground beef and diced onions to a large skillet and heat over medium high heat.  Brown the beef and onions, breaking up the meat into small pieces until the onions are translucent and beef is cooked through (5-7 minutes).
  2. Add in the taco seasoning and the salsa and bring the mixture to a low boil.
  3. Then remove the pan from the heat.
  4. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F and spray a 9X13 baking pan with a non-stick cooking spray.
  5. Cut the Hawaiian rolls in half lengthwise and place the bottom of the rolls in the prepared baking dish.  Spread the beef mixture over the bottom of the rolls and top with the shredded cheese.  The top with the other half of the rolls.
  6. Stir together the melted butter and garlic salt.  Brush this mixture over the top of the rolls.
  7. Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 15-20 minutes.  Then remove the foil and bake for 2-5 minutes to brown the top of the Hawaiian rolls.
  8. Remove from the oven and top with the chopped cilantro.  Let them cool slightly.  Then serve warm with your favorite toppings and enjoy!

Notes
