  • 2 tsp Hondashi
  • ½ tbsp sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 3 tbsp mirin

Instructions

  1. Add the hondashi, sugar, and a cup of water to a sauce pan. Bring it to a boil, stirring occasionally.
  2. Remove the saucepan from heat and add the mirin and soy sauce. Stir to combine.
  3. Let cool a bit before serving.
