Tequila Mojito
Description
The Tequila Mojito mixes fresh mint leaves, quartered lime, simple syrup, and tequila—specifically Patrón Añejo or other Reposado or Añejo varieties—shaken or blended with ice to combine the flavors thoroughly. The simple syrup adds sweetness while the lime juice provides acidity and brightness, complemented by the aromatic mint. Topping the drink with soda water adds effervescence, lightening the cocktail and making it more refreshing. Served over ice and garnished with mint sprigs, this cocktail suits warm weather or casual occasions.
Simple syrup is prepared by dissolving equal parts sugar and water via simmering, then cooled and refrigerated for up to one month, allowing consistent sweetness and easy mixing in cocktails.
