The Best Strawberry Hennessy Recipe

Strawberry Hennessy is the flavor combo you never knew you needed. The rich, smooth taste of cognac, paired with bubbly champagne and sweet strawberry syrup is incredibly refreshing and delicious. If you like to get lit with a fruity margarita cocktail, you’re sure to enjoy this one!

  • 2 oz Hennessy
  • 4 oz champagne
  • ice
  • fresh lemon and strawberries for garnishing

Strawberry Syrup*

  • 3/4 pound strawberries**
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup water

Instructions

  1. Make the Strawberry Syrup: Prepare the strawberries by removing green leaves and cutting them into thin slices.
  2. In a saucepan over medium-high heat, add strawberries, sugar, and water. Bring to a boil.
  3. Once boiled, turn the heat down and let it simmer for 15 minutes.
  4. Remove from heat. Blend the strawberries with a blender. (I used an immersion blender).
  5. Strain the strawberry syrup through a sieve. (Make sure not to press the strawberries too hard, so your drink can stay clear.)
  6. Let it chill in the fridge.
  7. Make Strawberry Hennessy Cocktail: In a wine glass or cocktail glass, add ice and fresh strawberries.
  8. Pour in Hennessy and Champagne. Top the glass with strawberry syrup (You'll only need a small portion of the syrup you made. Save the rest in the fridge). Mix gently. Serve and enjoy!
  9. Strawberry Hennessy is best enjoyed fresh, so serve it immediately.

  • ** Use fresh and ripe strawberries that are sweeter and more flavorful. Frozen ones will work too. 
  • Make sure to strain the strawberry mixture to remove pulp and seeds for a smoother drink.
  • *You can make strawberry syrup ahead of time and store it in an airtight container in the refrigerator for about 2 weeks. You'll only need a small portion for this recipe.
  • ** Use fresh and ripe strawberries that are sweeter and more flavorful. Frozen ones will work too. 
  • Make sure to strain the strawberry mixture to remove pulp and seeds for a smoother drink. To prevent your drink from getting cloudy, DON'T press the strawberries into the syrup too hard.
  • You can customize the level of sweetness of your drink. Start with less amount of strawberry syrup and slowly add more. Taste and adjust for the perfect flavor.
  • Pour the champagne into the glass slowly to prevent it from overflowing.
