Notes
- You can use deli turkey, however we love using leftover Turkey Recipes! Especially when we make a Spatchcock Turkey as our family isn't big on turkey thighs, so we repurpose them.
- Use Hawaiian dinner rolls or brioche slider bread.
- Make sure to have a good serrated knife to slice the bread cross sectionally into two equal halves.
- This Garlic Parmesan Sauce is SO GOOD with the turkey sliders! You can use Spicy Mayo too!
- The toppings are completely optional, our choices here were tested a few times and this our BEST version!💛
- Use your favorite types of cheese, but make sure you use some as it helps the sliders stick together.
- The final brush of butter mixture flavors the bread and is a must make!
- Lining our pan with parchment paper makes for easy cleanup.
- The foil protects the bread for drying out while the cheese melts and the filling warms up.
- The sliders are best served right out of the oven--SO GOOD!!!
- YES! You can assemble the whole sliders recipe, cover it with foil and place it in your fridge for up to 3 days. Bake the day of serving, adding an extra 5 minutes if baked cold. Alternatively you can bring the sliders to room temperature before baking and bake for the same amount of time.
- The leftover sliders can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. To reheat, cover again in foil and place in a 350 degrees F oven for 10 minutes. Our favorite way is to use the Air Fryer. Wrap the sliders in foil entirely and place in the air fryer at 350 degrees F for 5 minutes.
- Once baked and cooled completely, the turkey sliders can be individually wrapped and frozen. To serve, thaw and reheat as above.
- You can absolutely swap the cheddar for Havarti or Gouda. Make sure you use a melty cheese, as it's not just for taste. The cheese helps the sliders to and filling to bind together.
- Covering the sliders protects the bread from drying out as the filling warms up and cheese melts.
- It's completely optional and to your taste! If this is a main dish, you serve approximately 3-5 siders per person along side a Salad Recipe or Air Fryer Frozen French Fries. If you're having the sliders for lunch or as a side dish, or snack, we serve about 2 per person on average.
