Instructions

  1. Heat milk in a saucepan on a low to medium flame.
  2. Simmer the milk for 2 to 3 minutes or until it boils. Once the milk starts boiling, turn off the heat.
  3. Pour the hot milk in a glass or mug.
  4. Add turmeric powder and black pepper powder.
  5. Stir and mix very well.
  6. Serve Turmeric Milk hot or warm.

Notes

  • Adding 1 teaspoon sugar or sweetener is optional, and children may prefer it a bit sweetened.
  • Optional spices like ginger, cinnamon, cardamom, and clove can be added for more flavor variety.
  • Fresh turmeric root can be grated and added; strain if you prefer a smooth drink or leave unstrained for texture.
  • When adding honey, do so after the milk has cooled slightly to preserve its benefits.
  • The recipe quantities can easily be doubled or tripled for larger servings.
