Tuscan Seasoning
Description
Tuscan Seasoning combines a variety of dried herbs and spices traditionally used in Tuscan cooking, such as basil, oregano, and rosemary, along with fennel seeds and garlic powder. Grinding these ingredients together breaks up the fennel seeds and helps meld the flavors. With optional additions like finely diced sundried tomatoes and lemon zest, the blend can be customized to enhance certain dishes. This seasoning is versatile enough to be used in place of generic Italian seasoning blends and works well sprinkled on meats or blended with olive oil and vinegar to make vinaigrettes. The combination offers herbal, earthy, and savory notes characteristic of Tuscan cuisine.
