Description
Vegan Mango Lassi is a dairy-free take on the popular Indian yogurt-based drink. It blends non-dairy yogurt or plant-based yogurt alternatives with mango pulp, almond milk, and water or ice to adjust consistency. A pinch of salt balances the sweetness, while sugar and lemon juice enhance flavor brightness. Cardamom powder adds a subtle aromatic note reminiscent of the traditional spice blend used in lassi.
This drink is blended until smooth and chilled before serving, delivering a creamy texture and fruity sweetness. Using canned mango pulp ensures consistent mango flavor, though ripe fresh mangoes may also be used with proper blending.

Ingredients
- 1 cup Non-Dairy yogurt or Almond Milk Yogurt or Home made Almond Cashew Yogurt from my book or soy yogurt, plain; such as coconut milk yogurt
- 1 cup mango pulp 1/4 cup more for more mango-ey Lassi or 1 1/4 cubed very ripe Mangoes, canned
- 1/4 cup almond milk or other non dairy milk
- 1/4 cup water less or more for desired Lassi consistency, chilled, or ice cubes
- salt a pinch
- 1 Tablespoon raw sugar less or more depending on the sweetness of the mango pulp, or maple
- 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice
- cardamom powder or saffron strands or rose essence or vanilla, variations suggested add 1/4 tsp
Instructions
- Blend all the ingredients until smooth . Taste and adjust sugar.
- Adjust consistency with more non dairy milk if needed and blend again. Serve chilled.
Notes
- Canned mango pulp from Indian stores provides a consistent lassi flavor.
- If using fresh mangoes, ensure they are very ripe and blend thoroughly for smoothness.
