15-Minute Lazy Noodles

This recipe for 15-Minute Lazy Noodles combines quick-cooking wheat noodles with browned ground meat, sautéed onions, garlic, and fresh baby spinach. The noodles are tossed with a savory and slightly sweet sauce made from soy sauce, dark soy sauce, sesame oil, and honey, with an optional hint of chili oil for heat. Stir-frying the meat and vegetables at high heat produces a mix with browned edges and wilted spinach, creating a balanced texture and rich umami flavor. It’s a practical dish for a fast, filling meal using pantry staples and fresh greens.

Description

15-Minute Lazy Noodles features wheat noodles cooked until tender and mixed with a stir-fried blend of ground meat, onions, garlic, and baby spinach. The meat is cooked on high heat until browned and slightly crispy, providing texture contrast to the tender noodles and wilted spinach. The sauce blends light and dark soy sauces with sesame oil and honey for a balanced savory, sweet, and nutty flavor. Chili oil can be added for a spicy dimension, but it’s optional. The method is straightforward and flexible, allowing for substitutions of the protein and noodles.

This dish serves well as a standalone quick meal and can be complemented by steamed vegetables or a simple salad. The combination of meat and greens also makes it a more nutritionally balanced option than plain noodles.
