2 Ingredient Chocolate Truffles

These 2 Ingredient Chocolate Truffles use sweetened condensed milk and unsweetened cocoa powder to create a rich, fudgy chocolate mixture that chills in the freezer before being shaped into bite-sized, cocoa-dusted truffles. The simplicity of ingredients yields a smooth texture and deep chocolate flavor in a snack or dessert-sized portion.

Description

The preparation involves warming the sweetened condensed milk gently, then blending in cocoa powder until fully incorporated, producing a thick, chocolate mixture. After chilling it in the freezer to firm up, the chocolate is shaped into small balls, which are then rolled in additional cocoa powder for a dry, delicate outer layer that contrasts the soft interior.

The truffles are stored refrigerated to keep firm and are easy to portion for serving. This recipe offers a straightforward way to enjoy rich chocolate confections with minimal ingredients and effort.

Ingredients

Servings
  • 2/3 cup cocoa powder for the truffles, unsweetened
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder for rolling the truffles
  • 1/3 cup sweetened condensed milk 2 tablespoons

Instructions

  1. Add the sweetened condensed milk into a large bowl and microwave it for 30 seconds.
  2. Then, sift the 1/2 cup of cocoa powder into the bowl of warm sweetened condensed milk. Next, using a rubber spatula, stir well until fully combined, scraping the sides and bottom of the bowl.
  3. After that, use your hands to press the chocolate mixture into a disc and put it on a piece of plastic wrap. Cover well the chocolate mixture and put it in the freezer for 30 minutes.
  4. Next, unwrap the chocolate disk and place it on a cutting board. Using a pastry cutter or shape knife, cut it into equal one-inch squares. If it is too sticky, freeze it some more time.
  5. Roll each piece onto a truffle and place it on a plate.
  6. After that, roll the balls in cocoa powder and serve. Store in the fridge.
