3 Ingredient Blueberry Frozen Yogurt
Description
The recipe is a straightforward mix of yogurt, frozen blueberries, and optional maple syrup or another sweetener processed together in a food processor until smooth. The frozen blueberries chill the mixture, creating a creamy, fruity texture similar to soft serve ice cream.
The blueberry flavor is fresh and mildly tart, balanced by the yogurt’s creaminess and a hint of sweetness from the maple syrup. This healthy, low-ingredient dessert requires no cooking or complicated preparation.
If you prefer a firmer consistency to scoop, the blended yogurt can be frozen for about an hour, then allowed to thaw slightly before serving. This makes a quick and simple summer dessert or snack.
Ingredients
- 1 cup yogurt I use 2% or full-fat, plain, Greek
- 1 ½ cup blueberries frozen
- 1-2 Tablespoon maple syrup optional, or honey or agave
Instructions
- Blend all ingredients together in a food processor. Eat right away.
- If you want it to be scoopable, you can freeze the mixture for about an hour. I like to transfer the mixture to a loaf pan and then freeze. Bring it out of the freezer and let it thaw for a few minutes before scooping.
