Description
The 4 Ingredient Meatball Casserole starts with baking fresh or frozen meatballs until fully cooked and juicy. Meanwhile, pasta is boiled to just short of tender, so it doesn’t overcook in the casserole. The cooked pasta is mixed with marinara sauce and half the mozzarella cheese, then transferred to a casserole dish.
Meatballs are arranged on top of the sauced pasta and covered with the remaining mozzarella. Baking until the cheese melts and browns slightly creates a hearty dish with layers of tender pasta, savory meatballs, tangy tomato sauce, and gooey cheese. The casserole is cooled briefly before serving to set the layers.

Ingredients
- 1 pound pasta dry
- 24 ounces marinara sauce
- 2 cups mozzarella cheese
- 1 pound meatballs fresh or frozen
Instructions
- Heat oven to 375 degrees F. Place meatballs on aluminum foil-lined baking sheet coated lightly with nonstick cooking spray. Bake 15 minutes; gently turn meatballs over and bake an additional 8 to 10 minutes until internal temperature reaches at least 175 degrees F.
- Meanwhile, cook pasta in boiling water just a few minutes less than called for on the package. Drain well.
- Pour pasta into a casserole dish (9”x13” pan size), add the sauce and half of the cheese and mix well.
- Add the meatballs on top and add the remaining cheese.
- Bake until cheese is bubbly and brown (about 15 minutes)
- Remove from oven and allow to cool slightly.
- Devour.
