7 Can Taco Soup
Description
This taco soup features seven canned ingredients that come together to form a thick, flavorful base. The combination of beans, corn, chicken, tomatoes, and enchilada sauce offers layers of texture and taste, enhanced by a packet of taco seasoning and garlic powder for seasoning. Simmering gently blends the flavors and softens the ingredients while maintaining some bite.
The soup is garnished with chopped cilantro, sour cream, crunchy tortilla chips, and sharp cheddar cheese, adding freshness, creaminess, and texture contrast. It serves well as a warming, convenient base for a casual meal or weeknight dinner.
Leftovers refrigerate safely in airtight containers for up to five days. The recipe also adapts to slow cooker preparation, allowing the same combination of ingredients to cook low and slow for convenience. Homemade taco seasoning can replace store-bought packets for a personalized spice profile.
