7 Layer Dip

Ingredients
- 16 ounces refried beans 1 can
- 16 ounces sour cream
- 3 tbsp taco seasoning (see recipe below)
- 1.5 cups guacamole (see recipe below)
- 1.5 cups thick and chunky salsa drained
- 8 ounces cheddar cheese Grated (2 cups)
- 1/2 cup sliced green onions
- 1/2 cup sliced black olives
- tortilla chips for serving
- 2 TBSP chopped cilantro for garnish, optional
For Guacamole
- 2 ripe avocados
- 1 TBSP fresh lime juice
- 1 garlic clove finely minced or pressed
- 1/4 tsp kosher salt
Taco Seasoning
- 1 TBSP chili powder
- 2 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 tsp oregano
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1/4 tsp kosher salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
Instructions
- Drain the salsa in a fine mesh sieve to remove excess liquid
- Stir together taco seasoning, whisk taco seasoning into sour cream until combined.
- Make guacamole: Mash avocados with other guacamole ingredients until combined.
- Layer the ingredients in the following order: 1. Beans2. Sour Cream mixture3. Guacamole4. Salsa5. Cheese6. Olives7. Green Onions8. Cilantro (optional)
- Serve right away with tortilla chips for dipping.
Notes
- If you do not want to make your own taco seasoning, you can use store bought.
- If you do not want to make guacamole, you can use 1.5 cups of prepared guacamole.
- 7 layer dip is best served the day it is made. Leftovers can be kept tightly covered in the fridge for 3-4 days.
