7UP Marinade Skirt Steak

7UP Marinade is an easy way to add flavor to your skirt steak. Marinate your steak for a few hours in 7UP Marinade and then toss it on the grill for perfectly tender grill skirt steak every time!

Ingredients

  • 12 ounces 7UP substitute with diet 7UP for low carb
  • 1 cup Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 cup neutral cooking oil generic cooking oil
  • 1 tablespoon onion flakes
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon kosher salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 pounds skirt steak trimmed of excess fat

Instructions

  1. Add all ingredients to a gallon resealable bag and mix together.
  2. Place skirt steak in the bag with the marinade and seal the bag tightly before placing it in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour, up to overnight.
  3. Remove the steak from the fridge 30 minutes before you’re ready to grill.
  4. Remove steak from the marinade and pat dry. Discard the excess marinade.
  5. Place on the grill and cook for 5 minutes on each side or until you reach your desired temperature.
  6. Let the steak rest for 10 minutes, then slice across the grain before serving.

Notes

  • Note: If you want to make this recipe truly low carb with no sugar added you can substitute Diet 7UP.
