Agua de Guayaba
Description
This beverage features whole guavas blended with water and sugar to create a smooth juice base. The guavas are rinsed and halved before blending, ensuring the flavor is extracted from the pulp and skin. Additional water is added after blending to adjust consistency, and sugar is added to taste, allowing control over sweetness.
The drink has a natural fruit flavor with a slightly thick texture from the fruit pulp and is typically served cold or over ice for refreshment. Citrus like lime juice can be added to introduce a subtle acidity that brightens the flavor.
The beverage will naturally separate if stored in the refrigerator; stirring before serving recombines the ingredients. Serving lightly chilled yields a pleasant and fruity drink.
