Description
Agua De Mango blends ripe mangoes with water and sugar to create a smooth, tropical drink with a vibrant mango flavor. The mango pieces are pureed with part of the water, sugar, and optional fresh lime juice, then diluted with additional water and sweetened to taste. This creates a light, refreshing texture that’s easy to drink cold. The lime adds brightness and a subtle tang that complements the mango’s natural sweetness.
This agua fresca works well poured over ice with extra mango chunks or lime slices for garnish, making it suitable for casual refreshment or as a complement to light meals.
Ingredients
- 2 cups Mango chopped, about 2 large mangoes
- 6 cups water
- ½ cup white sugar
- ½ lime optional
Instructions
- Peel the mangos and cut into large chunks.
- Optional, reserve a few slices of mango to garnish your drinks with.
- In a blender, add the mangos with 3 cups of the water, the lime juice (if using any) and half the sugar. Blend at high speed until smooth.
- Transfer the juice into a jar and add the other 2 cups of water, sugar and lime juice.
- Taste for sweetness and adjust if necessary.
- Refrigerate for 1 hour or longer to make it nice and cold. Fill a glass with ice, pour in the agua fresca, garnish with chunks of mango, or a slice of lime, and enjoy!
