Agua Fresca De Melon (Cantaloupe)
Description
This Agua Fresca De Melon recipe features ripe cantaloupe peeled and seeded, then chopped into chunks. Half of the melon is blended with part of the water, sugar, and optional lime juice, until smooth, and then repeated with the remaining melon and liquids. The finished drink combines the subtle sweetness and fragrant notes of cantaloupe with balanced sugar and a touch of citrus brightness from lime. It is served chilled, poured over ice, and can be garnished with cantaloupe cubes or fresh mint for presentation.
The texture includes natural pulp and fiber since the fruit is fully blended rather than strained, retaining nutritional benefits. This drink provides a hydrating and mildly sweet flavor experience with fresh, fruit-forward character.
Chilling the agua fresca for at least an hour before serving enhances the coolness and melds flavors, making it a refreshing accompaniment to meals or a standalone thirst quencher on hot days.
