Air Fried Apples
Description
Air Fried Apples combine fresh apple slices with melted butter, maple syrup, brown sugar, and ground cinnamon. After coating the apples, they are arranged in a single layer in an air fryer and cooked at 400°F until soft and slightly caramelized, around 13-16 minutes. The air fryer’s heat softens the apples while the sugars create a sticky, browned coating as it cools. This method offers a hands-off way to prepare a warm fruit dish without simmering or baking.
The cooked apples have a tender texture with a caramelized exterior, balancing natural fruity sweetness with buttery maple and brown sugar notes. The cinnamon adds gentle warmth that complements the apples. Serving them warm highlights the softened, juicy interior and glossy coating. These can be enjoyed alone, as a topping for pancakes or oatmeal, or alongside savory dishes for contrast.
Storing leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to five days keeps the apples fresh, allowing for easy reheating or use in other recipes later.
