Air Fried Oreos
Description
This recipe turns Oreos into a warm, fried treat without deep frying by wrapping each cookie in biscuit dough, which crisps up nicely in the air fryer. Dipping the Oreos briefly in milk before wrapping helps soften the cookie interior slightly during cooking, balancing texture.
The air fryer cooks the dough to a golden brown in a short time, resulting in a light, flaky dough encasing the gooey cookie. Powdered sugar sprinkled on top adds a touch of extra sweetness and a decorative finish.
These can be served warm right from the air fryer and work well as a simple dessert or playful snack. The biscuit dough creates a neutral, slightly buttery contrast to the sweet cookie, making each bite satisfying and texturally interesting.
Ingredients
- 6 Oreo cookies
- 3 Biscuits canned
- 1/2 cup milk optional
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar optional
Instructions
- Cut each biscuit in half.
- Roll the biscuit halves in your hands then flatten them into a circle.
- Dip an Oreo cookie into milk. This is optional, but it will soften the cookie.
- Put the cookie on the flattened dough and bring the sides up to completely cover the cookie and form it into a dough ball. Repeat with remaining Oreos.
- Preheat the air fryer to 370 degrees F for 2 minutes.
- Put the cookies in the air fryer basket, being sure to leave space between them so they can expand.
- Air fry the cookies at 370 degrees F for 5-7 minutes, until they are golden brown on top.
- Dust the Oreos with powdered sugar if desired.
- Serve warm.
