Ingredients

Servings
  • 1 tube (16 oz) Biscuits 8 count, Grands Homestyle
  • 1 tablespoon butter melted, salted
  • 1 cup Icing red
  • 1 cup green icing
  • 1 cup Icing white
  • 1 cup chocolate icing
  • ¼ cup milk divided, whole

Decorations and Toppings

  • Sprinkles
  • candy cane crumbled
  • sugar pearls
  • Icing white

Instructions

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 340°F and spray the basket with a nonstick spray.
  2. Using a bottle cap, large piping tip, or free hand with a paring knife, cut circles out of the center of each raw biscuit
  3. Brush the top of each biscuit with melted butter and place into the basket about 2 inches apart. (Note: Do not overcrowd because they will rise.) Make several batches if necessary. Cook for 6 minutes and set aside on parchment paper or another non-stick surface.
  4. Place each color icing into a separate, microwave safe, bowl and microwave each for 30 second intervals until they are melted and smooth when stirred. Stir a tablespoon of milk into each bowl to thin the icing slightly.
  5. Dip each cooked donut top into the icing and then set it back on the parchment paper.
  6. Decorate the donuts before the icing sets using any sprinkles or decorations you like.

Notes

  • Save the middles: You may also use the cutout circles to make little donut holes, too! These are great if you have more Christmas donut ideas for decorations.
  • Enjoy room temperature: When the donuts are cold, they taste a little dry. Let them sit out at room temperature or heat them for a few seconds to warm them up.
  • Decorate quickly: The icing won’t take long to set, so make sure you add your sprinkles and other toppings while it’s still warm.
