Ingredients

Servings
  • 125 g plain flour
  • 50 g caster sugar
  • 60 g brown sugar
  • 100 g butter
  • 0.25 teaspoon baking powder
  • 0.25 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 120 g chocolate chips
  • 1 tablespoon milk
  • 1 pinch salt

Instructions

  1. Put 100 g Butter, 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract50 g Caster sugar and 60 g Brown sugar into a large mixing bowl. Mix well to combine.
  2. Add 125 g Plain flour, 1 pinch Salt, 0.25 teaspoon Baking powder and 0.25 teaspoon Baking soda. Mix well to combine.
  3. Add 1 tablespoon Milkand 120 g Chocolate chips.
  4. Use your hands to mix together and form into a ball of dough.
  5. Divide into 12 equal sized balls and put into the air fryer. Add a few more chocolate chips to the tops of the balls.
  6. Cook at 160°C/320℉ for 10 minutes.
  7. Allow to cool on a wire rack for 5 minutes.

Notes

  • For best results, chill the dough for at least 30 minutes (although you can chill a day in advance). This allows the butter to solidify and stop them spreading so much when cooking.
  • Make sure there is space in the air fryer between each cookie as they will rise and spread.
  • Leave the cookies to rest in the air fryer basket, out of the air fryer, for 5 minutes before moving them on to a cooling rack.
  • When the air fryer cookies have finished cooking, press a couple of chocolate chips into them before they cool, to make them look extra chocolatey.
  • If you have any leftover cookie dough, you can wrap it up and put in an air tight container and it will keep in the fridge for up to a week.
  • You can use this recipe to make mini air fryer cookies too.
