Air Fryer Halloumi Gyros

The ultimate halloumi gyros. Made in the air fryer and loaded with halloumi and chips along with a quick prep Greek dip.

Ingredients

Servings
  • 225 g halloumi cheese
  • 50 g potato chips leftover, air fryer
  • 6 wraps WW (whole wheat
  • 10 g cucumber sliced
  • 10 g cherry tomato halved

Greek Dip

  • 1 Tbsp mint chopped, fresh
  • 1 tsp lemon juice 1/4 Lemon
  • 10 g cucumber 1/4 Medium Cucumber, sliced
  • 1 Tsp Garlic puree
  • 6 Tbsp Greek yoghurt

Instructions

  1. Slice your halloumi into 6 portions and place in the air fryer. Air fry for 5 minutes at 180c/360f.
  2. When the air fryer beeps add the chips to one side and cook for a further 2 minutes on the same temperature.
  3. When the air fryer is cooking the halloumi add all the dip ingredients into a bowl and mix well.
  4. When the air fryer beeps add a slice of halloumi, some chips, sliced cucumber and tomato and dip to a wrap and serve. Rinse and repeat for all 6 wraps.

Notes

  • Make Ahead. You can also make ahead your halloumi gyro ingredients and then just air fry them when you are ready.
  • Flimsy. Note that halloumi is rather flimsy and breaks really easy. That’s why I recommend being really gentle with it.
  • Salt. Halloumi is high salt. I recommend not adding extra salt and pepper or seasoning to it.
