Air Fryer Monkey Bread

Air Fryer Monkey Bread is a sweet, sticky pull-apart bread made from a yeast dough coated in cinnamon sugar and baked in an air fryer for a golden, gooey result. The bread is formed from small dough balls dipped in a cinnamon butter mixture and assembled tightly in a bundt-style pan, allowing the pieces to bake into a soft, tender mass with crisped edges. Its warm, buttery sweetness makes it an inviting treat served best fresh and warm, where the cinnamon sugar glaze is most luscious and sticky.

Description

The Air Fryer Monkey Bread recipe uses a warm milk yeast dough, mixed with eggs and oil, kneaded until soft and elastic, then left to rise before being divided into small balls. Each ball is dipped in a cinnamon sugar and melted butter mixture, then layered into a small bundt or round pan, creating a pull-apart effect when baked. The air fryer provides a 350°F environment to bake the bread for about 20 minutes, resulting in a golden crust and a tender, sticky interior.

The combination of butter, sugar, and cinnamon coating the dough balls infuses the bread with a harmonious sweetness and spice, contrasted by the soft crumb inside and slightly crisped outsides where the dough touches the pan. This monkey bread is ideal served warm, soon after baking, to enjoy its melty texture. A drizzle of vanilla icing can be added to enhance its dessert quality.

To ensure easy serving, allow the bread to cool just enough to invert it onto a plate, as cooling too long may cause it to stick. A small ramekin in the center of a round pan can simulate the bundt shape if a bundt pan is not available. This monkey bread is a great option for a comforting sweet snack or shareable treat.

Use a small ramekin in a round cake pan if a bundt pan is unavailable to replicate the shape.Invert the monkey bread shortly after baking to prevent sticking to the pan.Consider drizzling an icing made from powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract over the warm bread for added sweetness.Serve the bread warm, ideally soon after baking, to enjoy its gooey texture.
