Instructions

  1. Get out and measure all of your ingredients.
  2. Unroll the crescent dough on a large cutting mat. Cut ¼ inch slices down the long side of the dough with pizza cutter or knife.
  3. Starting at one end, wrap a strip of dough randomly around the hot dog.
  4. You may wish to use 2 strips per hot dog. Leave a gap for the eyes. Place the crescent wrapped hot dogs on the pan and place in the oven.
  5. All dips are made with different combinations of ketchup, mustard, mayonnaise and relish and one dip requires a slice of cheese.

Spider Web

  1. Fill a small bowl with ketchup.
  2. Make three circles around the bowl, each one smaller than the last. Space each circle out evenly from the other. Put a large dot of mustard in the middle.
  3. Using a toothpick, start from the middle and pull straight out past the last circle to create a line of mustard connecting to each circle. Go to the opposite side of the bowl and pull out from that side. You can do this 5 to 7 times. This will create a web.

Bloodshot eye

  1. Spoon mayonnaise in a bowl and use a spoon to create a “hole” in the middle.
  2. Fill the hole with ketchup.
  3. Using a toothpick, starting in the ketchup, pull outwards in a squiggle line, dragging some ketchup out to create a bloodshot effect. Repeat around the ketchup.
  4. Add a little circle of mustard to finish out the eye.

Monster puddle

  1. Go around the outer edge of the bowl in a circular manner and make a “cup of ketchup”.
  2. Fill the inside of the “cup” with green relish.
  3. Place eyes around the puddle.

Ghosts

  1. Place a slice of cheese on a cutting board.
  2. Use a mini ghost cookie cutter or a sharp knife and cut out a ghost shape or bat if you want.
  3. Make a few and place in a bowl of ketchup or tomato soup.
  4. You can cut out eyes for more effect.
  5. Place extra in bowl.

AIR FRYER

  1. Preheat air fryer to 330 degrees for 5 minutes.
  2. Prepare air fryer basket with cooking spray.
  3. Place mummy dogs inside air fryer. Set timer for 5 to 6 minutes or golden brown.
  4. Carefully remove mummy dogs from air fryer basket. Put a dot of mustard for each eye, then place a candy eye on the mustard. This will help “glue” the eyes on. You don’t need much.
  5. Serve immediately with your choice of dip.

Oven Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375° and spray a cookie sheet with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. Bake for 10 minutes and check if the dough has cooked. Add another minute or 2 of baking time if the dough isn’t quite baked through and golden brown.
  3. Put a dot of mustard for each eye, then place a candy eye on the mustard. This will help “glue” the eyes on. You don’t need much.
  4. Remove the mummies from the cookie sheet and place on a serving plate with your dip of choice.
  5. Enjoy every bite.

Notes

  • Tips:You can roll up a piece of cheese under the crescent dough for some added yumminess. You can also make mini mummies. Either cut the hotdogs in half or use mini sausages.
  • Storage:Store leftovers in the refrigerator in an airtight container. Reheat in the oven for 5 minutes so the dough won’t be soggy.
