Notes

  • Start with quality hot dogs. Always choose the ones you like and enjoy on a regular.
  • Scorching or slicing the hot dog will allow the hot dogs to cook without bursting in your air fryer. You can make small slits or slice it in half lengthwise.
  • Toasting the buns in the air fryer takes your hot to the next level! To toast the buns you only need 2 minutes!
  • Make sure the hot dogs are placed in a single layer in your air fryer.
  • Air frying the hot dogs produces a crisp on the outside just like the BBQ! So don't crowd the air fryer basket.
  • Hot dogs are best air fried at 400 degrees, however if you're using frozen hot dogs, it's best to drop the temperature to 35p and add an extra 4 minutes.
  • Make different variations to the humble hot dog sandwich. Try adding nacho toppings (hello Nacho Cheese Sauce Recipe). And try to dress it with this crowd pleasing Blue Cheese Dressing--specially for bacon wrapped hot dogs. Finally, try the cheesy jalapeno hot dogs above--SO Good!
  • How long to cook hot dogs in air fryer? How Dogs need to be cooked at 400 degrees F and for 5-6 minutes shaking halfway. Frozen hot dogs in air fryer You can make this recipe using frozen hot dogs as it is. I prefer setting the temperature to 350 degrees F and adding an extra 3-4 minutes of cooking time. This allows the hot dogs to thaw while air frying! Bacon wrapped Hot Dogs in air fryer Wrap the hot dogs in bacon and follow the recipe as is, adding an extra 2-3 minutes of coking time while shaking halfway.
