Air Fryer Peaches

Air fryer peaches are about to become your new favorite quick dessert and snack! No need to fire up the grill or turn on the oven for soft, sweet, fragrant, juicy cooked peaches. Here the peaches are paired with tahini, maple syrup, and cinnamon for an irresistible flavor combination that's delicious enough for dessert and healthy enough for breakfast! Ready in 15 minutes; vegan, GF, and no oil or refined sugar.

Ingredients

Servings
  • 2 large peaches fresh, yellow or white, barely under-ripe
  • 1 tablespoon tahini
  • 1 ½ tablespoons maple syrup
  • ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • pinch of salt sea salt

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl stir together the tahini, maple syrup, cinnamon, and salt. Set aside.
  2. Cut the peaches in half through the stem end, and remove the pits. A regular spoon comes in handy here. You can also use the spoon to lightly scrape away any rough bits where the pit was removed. Rub the entire cut side of the peaches with a thin layer of maple tahini.
  3. Preheat the air fryer to 370 degrees F. Place the peach halves cut side down and cook for 6 minutes. Flip the peaches and spoon the maple tahini mixture into the cavity. Also use the spoon to rub more of the tahini mixture on the flat part of the flesh. This keeps the peaches juicy. Cook for 4 more minutes.
  4. Serve warm. You may have a small amount of the tahini mixture left. I like to drizzle it on the cooked peaches for even more flavor. See serving suggestions below.

Notes

  • Serving - air fryer peaches are great for breakfast with a dollop of non-dairy yogurt. For dessert you can't go wrong with a scoop of oat milk ice cream. If you enjoy a little crunch, sprinkle with oil-free granola, seeds, or chopped nuts.
  • Storing - these are best enjoyed while warm from the air fryer. If you do have leftovers, store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Cooked peaches are not freezer friendly.
  • Oven Instructions -
  • Preheat the oven to 370 degrees F, and arrange the peaches cut side up in a glass or ceramic baking dish. Rub with the maple-tahini mixture, and spoon some into the cavities.
  • Bake for about 30 minutes or until the peaches are tender and caramelized on top.
