Air Fryer Peppers and Onions
Description
Air Fryer Peppers and Onions features sliced bell peppers and red onions coated lightly in olive oil and seasoned with garlic powder, salt, and pepper. The vegetables are air fried at 400°F for about 15 to 17 minutes, with stirring halfway through to ensure even cooking and browning. This technique yields peppers and onions that are cooked through but still hold a bit of bite, with a mild char that enhances their natural sweetness.
The olive oil provides a gentle coating that promotes caramelization without making the vegetables greasy. Garlic powder adds a savory note without overpowering the fundamental flavor of the peppers and onions. The quick cooking time suits meal prep or side dishes when you want to add cooked veggies with minimal effort.
This dish can serve as a topping for sandwiches, a fajita filling, or a simple side to grilled meats or rice bowls. The method keeps the pepper and onion slices intact and tender-crisp, making them versatile for many meals.
