Sauteed Green Beans
Description
The green beans are first brought to a quick boil in water for about 3 minutes to soften slightly while retaining some crunch. After draining and drying, they are added to a skillet with butter and minced garlic, cooking until fragrant and coated. Seasoning with salt and black pepper balances the flavors.
This method yields green beans that are tender yet crisp, with a buttery aroma and gentle garlic taste. The saute step enhances the beans’ natural sweetness and adds richness from the butter. It is a straightforward preparation suitable for complementing diverse main courses.
The relatively short cooking time preserves the vegetable’s bright color and texture. This dish is a practical and fresh side requiring only a few ingredients, making it easy to prepare any day of the week.
