Air Fryer Pineapple Rings
Description
The recipe begins by peeling and coring a whole pineapple, then slicing it into rings. A mixture of light brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg is combined and sprinkled over the rings, which have been brushed with coconut oil to help the spices adhere and promote caramelization. The air fryer is set to 375 degrees Fahrenheit, and pineapple rings are cooked in batches if needed, for about 8 minutes per side, allowing the sugar to caramelize and the pineapple to soften but retain shape.
The result is pineapple with a warm, spiced-sweet flavor and a tender texture, enhanced by the fragrant spices. Serving these warm with whipped cream adds a creamy contrast, making them suitable as a simple dessert or snack.
