Air Fryer Pork Roast
Description
The Air Fryer Pork Roast is prepared by scoring the pork shoulder with evenly sized slits, then spraying or rubbing with extra virgin olive oil. It is seasoned with salt, pepper, parsley, and garlic powder to enhance flavor. The roast is secured on a metal rod with clamps to hold it steady in the air fryer oven, which promotes even cooking on all sides. Cooking at 180°C (360°F) for one hour is timed for a 1.2 kg (2.6 lb) cut; larger roasts require longer.
This technique yields a roast with a flavorful crust from the seasonings and a tender interior. After cooking, it is allowed to rest while still on the rod and clamps to help redistribute juices. Once removed, resting before slicing ensures moist slices. The recipe also suggests serving the pork with sweet potato cubes prepared in the air fryer, making a complete meal from the appliance.
The notes mention adjusting cooking time according to roast size and following this method helps achieve consistent results in the air fryer. The recipe recommends trying other air fryer roasts as well.
