Air Fryer Potato Wedges

Report
These Air Fryer Potato Wedges are cut into evenly sized pieces tossed with olive oil, Italian seasoning, garlic granules, salt, and pepper before being cooked at 180°C for 25 minutes. The air frying method creates potato wedges with a crispy exterior and tender interior without deep frying. The seasoning blend complements the mild potato flavor, making this a practical side dish or snack option. The recipe emphasizes even coating of the wedges and advises not to overload the air fryer basket to ensure thorough cooking.

Description

The Air Fryer Potato Wedges recipe starts with 500 grams of potato cut into uniform wedges. The wedges are coated in olive oil and a seasoning mixture of Italian herbs, garlic granules, salt, and ground black pepper. They are arranged skin side down in the air fryer basket, with some layering allowed, then cooked at 180°C (350°F) for about 25 minutes. Shaking the basket twice during cooking helps achieve even browning and crispness.

The wedges develop a crispy outer texture from the air frying process while remaining soft inside. The combination of Italian seasoning and garlic granules adds an aromatic and savory flavor balance to the mild earthiness of the potatoes. Cooking in an air fryer uses less oil than traditional frying yet delivers a crispy finish.

This recipe is suitable as a side dish for casual meals or as a finger food snack. It pairs well with dips or as an accompaniment to grilled or roasted meats. Ensuring the wedges are cut evenly supports consistent cooking so no pieces are underdone or too dry. Avoid exceeding your air fryer’s capacity to let air circulate effectively around the wedges.

Use your hands to evenly coat the potato wedges with oil and seasoning for uniform flavor.Do not overload the air fryer; it’s okay to layer slightly but avoid exceeding its max capacity.Cut wedges as evenly as possible to help them cook evenly.
