Air Fryer Roast Potatoes involve washing and chopping potatoes which are then tossed with olive oil, dried oregano, dried basil, sea salt, and freshly ground black pepper. Placed in the air fryer basket, they cook at 180°C (350°F) for 25 minutes total, with a shake halfway to promote even browning and crispness.

The use of an air fryer enables a reduction in oil usage while still giving the potatoes a roast-like texture with crispy outer edges and tender insides.   • 900 g potato
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 pinch sea salt
  • 1 pinch black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon oregano dried
  • 1 teaspoon basil dried

Instructions

  1. Wash, dry and chop 900 g Potatoes (and peel if you prefer).
  2. Put them in a bowl with 1 tablespoon Olive oil1 teaspoon Dried oregano, 1 teaspoon Dried basil and 1 pinch Sea salt and ground black pepper and mix well.
  3. Add to your air fryer basket and cook at 180°C/350℉ for 15 minutes.
  4. Shake and cook for a further 10 minutes.

Notes

  • Soak starchy potatoes in water for 10 minutes, then drain and pat dry to achieve better texture.
  • Avoid overcrowding the air fryer basket to ensure the potatoes crisp up properly.
  • Use floury potatoes for best results; peeling is optional and leaving skins adds fiber.
  • Gently shake or use tongs halfway through cooking to prevent breaking and promote even browning.
  • Leftover roast potatoes can be chopped and added to a frittata for a second use.
