Ingredients

Servings
  • 4 sweet potato
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon chilli powder
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons oregano
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili flakes optional
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil

Notes

  • Use any type of sweet potatoes you prefer, even the purple ones work well.
  • Cut the sweet potatoes according to your taste to the size and thickness that you prefer.
  • Make sure to cut them evenly so that they cook evenly as well.
  • Season your sweet potatoes and toss them in oil. This allows the seasoning to stick.
  • When air frying, make sure to shake the basket half way and check on them.
  • Cooking time will depend variably on the size and thickness of your sweet potato fries.

  • We love olive oil for flavor or avocado oil for the high smoke point. Oil helps with the seasoning to stick and also with crisping up, so it's best to use some.
  • YES! Similar to our Air Fryer Frozen French Fries, you can follow the exact same procedure.
  • If you over stuff your air fryer basket, or crowd it, you will end up with mushy fries. So avoid that by cooking your fries over several batches if needed.
  • The cooked and cooled leftover fries can be stored in a sealed container in the fridge for up to 4 days. To reheat the fries, pop them back in the air fryer at 350 degrees F for 5-6 minutes. You may freeze the cooled fries as well in a single layer in a baking sheet. Place them in a ziploc bag when frozen and freeze for up to 3 months. Reheat the same way in the air fryer adding 3 extra minutes.
