Air Fryer Sweet Potato Slices

This recipe describes how to prepare crispy sweet potato slices using an air fryer. Sweet potatoes are peeled, sliced, and tossed with olive oil and herbs like parsley and rosemary before air frying in two stages at different temperatures. The result is tender slices with a flavorful crust, well-seasoned and versatile as a side dish or snack.

Description

The Air Fryer Sweet Potato Slices recipe focuses on creating flavorful and slightly crispy vegetable slices by cooking them in an air fryer. The sweet potatoes are peeled and sliced into medium thickness to ensure even cooking and a balance of tenderness and surface texture. Tossing the slices with extra virgin olive oil and herbs such as parsley and rosemary before cooking adds an aromatic and savory flavor profile.

The cooking process involves two intervals: first 15 minutes at 180°C (360°F), then after shaking the basket to separate slices and prevent sticking, an additional 10 minutes at 200°C (400°F). These steps allow the sweet potatoes to cook through and develop a slightly crisp exterior without burning.

The recipe notes encourage adjusting seasonings based on intended pairings, highlighting rosemary as a good complement, especially when served with meat dishes like lamb chops. Shaking the basket midway helps maintain texture by preventing clumping.
