Air Fryer Whole Fish

Perfectly cooked air fryer whole fish. Using whole tilapia, we will show you the easiest and most flavoursome way to enjoy fish in the air fryer.

Ingredients

  • 1 Whole Black Tilapia
  • 1 lemon sliced
  • 2 garlic cloves sliced
  • 2 Tsp fresh curly parsley
  • 2 Tsp fresh dill
  • 2 Tsp fresh thyme
  • 1 Tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • salt & pepper
  • 2 Tsp Dried Dill Tops

Instructions

  1. Check that your whole fish has clear eyes, has been gutted and scaled.
  2. Cut off the fins with a pair of scissors.
  3. Then fill the fish with your lemon slices, garlic slices and fresh herbs. You can do as many as will fit in the fish.
  4. Then score the sides of the fish with a veggie knife and then rub in extra virgin olive oil, followed by salt, pepper, and dill tops.
  5. Place the whole fish in the air fryer, set the temperature to 180c/360f and cook for 22 minutes. Then serve.

Notes

  • Make Ahead. You can also make ahead your whole fish and then bake it in the air fryer once you are ready.
  • Scoring. The scoring is essential as it allows the seasoning to go into the flesh of the fish as it cooks.
