Alfredo Sauce

This Alfredo Sauce blends butter, heavy cream, garlic, and Italian seasonings into a creamy, smooth sauce enriched with Parmesan cheese. It cooks gently to thicken without boiling, resulting in a rich sauce with balanced garlic and herb nuances, suitable for pasta or as a base for various dishes.

Description

The sauce begins with melting butter in a skillet over medium-low heat, to which heavy cream is added and whisked until combined. Minced garlic, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper are incorporated and cooked gently to infuse the sauce with flavor while carefully avoiding boiling. After simmering and thickening, freshly grated Parmesan is stirred in and whisked until melted, giving the sauce a velvety texture with a savory cheese finish.

Serving the Alfredo sauce with pasta is traditional, but it can also complement vegetables or protein dishes. Its thick yet smooth consistency coats ingredients well, balancing garlic aroma and herb flavors with the richness of cheese and cream.

For storage, the sauce can be refrigerated for three to four days. When reheating, warming it slowly over low to medium heat while whisking helps maintain its smooth texture and prevents separation.
