This almond crusted walleye recipe features perfectly cooked, flaky walleye with an almond crust. You'll be hooked immediately!

Ingredients
- 4 4 oz walleye filets
- ¼ cup flour
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon pepper
- 1 large egg
- ¼ cup milk
- ½ cup sliced almonds roughly chopped
- ½ cup breadcrumbs
- cooking spray

Instructions
- Get out and measure your ingredients.
- Preheat oven to 350ºF.
- In one shallow bowl, combine flour, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- In another shallow bowl, whisk egg and milk together.
- In a third bowl, combine almonds and breadcrumbs.
- Now you have your workstation ready.
- Coat each walleye filet in the flour mixture. Shake off excess.
- Then dredge it in the egg mixture.
- Next, cover it in the almond breadcrumb blend.
- Place breaded filets in a greased baking dish.
- Bake for 30 minutes or until internal temperature of filets reach 140ºF. Serve.
Notes
- To Pan Fry - Over medium heat, melt ¼ cup butter. Add fillets to hot butter and fry for 2 to 3 minutes per side, depending on the thickness of your fillets. Use a spatula to carefully flip so coating remains in tact.
