Ingredients
- 1 lb andouille sausage Cut into 1 in. pieces
- 16 oz penne pasta
- 1 red bell pepper diced
- 1 can crushed tomatoes 14.5 oz, can
- 1 tbsp Italian seasoning
- 2 tsp garlic minced
- 2 cups water
- 1 cup milk
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 cup Parmesan Cheese
Instructions
- In a large skillet, add the sausage and the red pepper. Brown over medium heat until the sausage is browned and the peppers start to get soft.
- Add in the pasta, milk, tomatoes, seasonings, and then add enough water to just slightly cover the pasta (about 2 cups).
- Simmer over medium heat (with the lid on) until the pasta is soft (about 10 minutes). Remove the lid.
- Mix in the cheese and stir to melt.
- Serve immediately.
