Description
This recipe uses a box mix for angel food cake, prepared according to the directions. The batter is spooned into liners about three-quarters full and baked until the tops develop a pale color, indicating they are cooked through without browning.
Once cooled completely, each cupcake is finished with a dollop of Cool Whip and a fresh strawberry slice, adding sweetness and a fresh contrast to the light cake.
The cupcakes make a delicate, portioned dessert suitable for parties or casual gatherings. The Cool Whip adds creaminess without heaviness, complementing the texture and flavor of angel food cake.
Ingredients
- 1 box angel food cake mix
- water
- 2 Cool Whip Free (8 oz containers)
- strawberry sliced, fresh
- cupcake liners
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Prepare Angel Food according to the directions.
- Place the cupcake liners in muffin tins.
- Spoon the batter into the cupcake liners about 3/4 full (I used big cookie scoop). Will make about 41 cupcakes.
- Bake for 12-14 minutes until the top is slightly colored (not brown anymore)
- Allow to cool completely.
- Add 2 tablespoons of Cool Whip free to each cupcake
- Add 1 strawberry (sliced) on top of each cupcake.
- Enjoy!
Notes
- You can use a piping bag to decorate cupcakes with Cool Whip for a neat presentation, or spoon it on casually.
- Ensure cupcakes are completely cooled before adding toppings to prevent melting.
- This recipe yields about 41 cupcakes, ideal for large groups.
