Ingredients
- 2 cups (200g) old-fashioned oats
- 1 cup (240g) milk
- 2 large eggs
- 1/4 cup (60g) plain yogurt
- 1/4 cup (60g) melted butter
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup (80g or 60ml) maple syrup
- 1 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon
- pinch of salt
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/3 cup (45g) raisins
- 1 pound (450g) apples 3 medium apples
- 1/4 cup (25g) chopped walnuts
- 2 cubes white chocolate optional

Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Add oats, milk, eggs, yogurt, butter, vanilla, maple syrup, cinnamon, salt, baking powder, and raisins (all the ingredients except walnuts, apples, and chocolate) to a large bowl. Whisk until well combined.
- Peel the apples (optional) and cut into cubes. Add to the oatmeal mixture and stir until combined.
- Grease a small baking dish with butter (I used a 9-inch/23 cm deep dish pie plate), pour the oatmeal mixture into the baking dish.
- Sprinkle with the walnuts and chopped chocolate (if using), press them slightly into the oatmeal.
- Bake for 40 minutes or until set in the center. If the oatmeal is browning too much in the last 5 minutes, cover it loosely with aluminum foil (it's important that the top of the oatmeal gets nicely golden brown - it will improve flavor and make the top crunchy - you'll love these crispy bits of oats and apples).
